There are a few different reasons why we send properties out in the automatic 7 day email alerts.
Property reductions
If a property is reduced by 2% or more, the property will be sent out in Rightmove’s instant alert emails – notifying the keenest buyers or tenants of the new price.
A sale fall through
See here for what to do about your sale fall through:
Following a marketing break
For a sales property to be sent out in the instant alerts and appear as new, the marketing break (period of time the property has been removed from site) must be 14 weeks or more. If the property meets this time-frame, our system will pick this up and automatically relist it as new.
For a lettings property to be sent out in the instant alerts and appear as new, the marketing break must be 2 weeks or more.
Refreshing your listings and making some changes can help to spark fresh interest in your property. See here for what you can do to help with exposure:
Property is being relisted with new vendor
If you're relaunching a property with a genuine new vendor, but has been off Rightmove for less than 14 weeks, we can review the date of the property.
For this, you'll need to email over a redacted copy of the new instruction agreement to customersupport@rightmove.co.uk (the date of signature and the property address will need to be visible). We'd recommend sending this on the same day of relaunching the property.
By redacted, we mean that any personal data must be removed or hidden from the document.
You can see a copy of our Technical Guidelines here.
If you've loaded a property to Rightmove, and it has loaded with an incorrect added on date, then this is something that our teams can support with. You can send this request to customersupport@rightmove.co.uk.
