This FAQ explains what it means if you receive an error email from the Rightmove ADF Team, why your property listing has not uploaded or updated, and what you need to do to fix the issue using Rightmove Plus.

How it works

When you send a property listing to Rightmove from your software, Rightmove automatically checks the information provided.
If something is missing, incorrect, or outside accepted limits, the listing will not upload or update.
If this happens:
  • You will receive an error email from the Rightmove ADF Team
  • The same error will appear in your RTDF Error Report in Rightmove Plus
  • The error message explains exactly what needs to be corrected
Once the issue is fixed in your software and the property is resent, the listing will upload or update successfully.

How to check and review Feed Errors

Step 1: Check your RTDF Error Report

  1. Log in to Rightmove Plus
  2. Click your initials in the top‑right corner
  3. Select RTDF Error Report

Step 2: Review the error

  • Look for any properties showing an error
  • Read the error message carefully, as it explains what is wrong

Step 3: Correct the issue

  • Open the affected property in your software
  • Make the required changes based on the error message

Step 4: Resend the property

  • Once corrected, resend the property to Rightmove
  • The listing should then upload or update successfully

Common Errors

Below are common errors you may see in the RTDF Error Report and how to fix them.

Postcode error

VAL_00154
  • The postcode entered does not match a valid postcode on Rightmove
  • Check the postcode is correct and formatted properly
  • If the error continues, contact Rightmove Support

Media file URL too long

VAL_00108
  • An image, floorplan, or brochure URL is longer than 250 characters
  • Review the media links in your software
  • Shorten or replace the URL, then resend the property

MND_00024
  • The number of bedrooms has not been sent
  • Add the bedroom count in your software
  • Resend the property to Rightmove

Property sent to the wrong channel

PER_00073
  • The property has been sent to the wrong profile (for example, a Sales property sent to Lettings)
  • Check the property channel in your software
  • Correct it and resend the listing

General validation issues

INT_00007
This error can have several causes. Check the following in your software:
  • Shared Ownership listings
    • The share percentage cannot be 0% or 100%
    • Enter a valid percentage or remove the value
  • Ground Rent Review
    • This must be the number of years remaining, not a calendar year
    • For example, change 2030 to 4 if four years remain
  • Property price
    • Check the price is realistic and not excessively high
If none of these resolve the issue, contact Rightmove Support with the error details.
