Rightmove Customer FAQ

Have a question about Rightmove?

Can I discreetly market a property?

A discreet listing is when an Estate or Letting Agent markets a property with limited information, often requested by homeowners who are in the public eye or due to certain professions. Properties can be discreetly marketed on Rightmove, but must include:

  • Property Type: Category of the property (e.g., house, apartment)
  • Selected Address: Address of the property
  • Display Address: General location such as the town/city
  • Price
  • Description: Brief overview of features and amenities
  • Images: Photos of the property or none at all for privacy

This ensures the property appears in search results and generates interest while maintaining privacy. If there is a significant lack of information for a substantial time, or the property is reloaded with full details, the Data Quality Team may investigate. These guidelines also apply to ‘coming soon’ property listings.
