Rightmove Customer FAQ

Have a question about Rightmove?

What should I do when an agent has marked a property as ‘Sold STC’ or ‘Let Agreed’, but they’re not responsible for the sale or let?

What does Rightmove need to action my complaint?

To action your claim, you’ll need to email us either a:

  • memorandum of sale (sales properties)
  • lettings agreement (lettings properties)

Documents must be redacted, but include:

  • the property’s address
  • a recent date
  • the signature of the homeowner

Please email the necessary documents to dataquality@rightmove.co.uk and include:

  • a brief explanation of your claim
  • name of the company who is ‘not responsible’
  • direct link to the property
  • branch location of the company

Once we have received this evidence, we’ll remove the documents from our system in line with GDPR.

Why does Rightmove need this evidence?

We need this evidence to verify your claim and ensure we have all the facts before contacting the agent.

This will help us resolve any misunderstandings quickly and fairly. To investigate whether an agent is not responsible for a sale or let, specific evidence is required. Without it, we cannot proceed.
