When will a reduced property appear in instant alerts?
If a property is reduced by 2% or more, the property will be sent out in Rightmove’s instant alert emails – notifying the keenest buyers or tenants of the new price.

How do I relist a lettings property after a fall through?
If a lettings property has previously been advertised and subsequently falls through, to come back to site as a new listing it must be marked as Let Agreed or have been removed from site for a minimum of 2 weeks (14 consecutive days).
Once the 14-day period has been satisfied, the property will automatically receive a new listing status when republished on site, in line with the existing lettings marketing break criteria.
When does a property qualify as new following a marketing break?
For a sales property to be sent out in the instant alerts and appear as new, the marketing break (period of time the property has been removed from site) must be 14 weeks or more. If the property meets this time-frame, our system will pick this up and automatically relist it as new.
For a lettings property to be sent out in the instant alerts and appear as new, the marketing break must be 2 weeks or more.
Refreshing your listings and making some changes can help to spark fresh interest in your property. See here for what you can do to help with exposure:
How do I relist a property with a new vendor?
If you're relaunching a property with a genuine new vendor, but has been off Rightmove for less than 14 weeks, we can review the date of the property.
For this, you'll need to email over a redacted copy of the new instruction agreement to customersupport@rightmove.co.uk (the date of signature and the property address will need to be visible). We'd recommend sending this on the same day of relaunching the property.
By redacted, we mean that any personal data must be removed or hidden from the document.
You can see a copy of our Technical Guidelines here.
If you've loaded a property to Rightmove, and it has loaded with an incorrect added on date, then this is something that our teams can support with. Send this request into our Customer Support team who will ensure the correct team picks this up.
Can I upload an active listing as a new listing if the property being marketed has changed?
Yes. Where there has been a significant change to the offering that materially alters what is being marketed, the property may be uploaded as a new listing even if the original listing remains active or would not otherwise qualify for a new listing date.
Examples include:
- Removal of a portion of the land included in the original listing
- Addition of land or property assets
- Substantial changes to the property's characteristics or development potential
- Significant changes resulting in a revised asking price
In these circumstances, the revised property should be treated as a new listing because the product being marketed is materially different from the original listing.
Where a portion of land has been removed from the offering and the asking price has changed accordingly, this qualifies as a significant change and the property may be uploaded as a new listing.
Contact support only if the change does not clearly fall within the examples above.
Where changes are minor and do not fundamentally alter the offering, the existing listing should be updated rather than creating a new listing.
How do I relist a property that was uploaded in error?
If a property was advertised in error and withdrawn within 24 hours, it can be relisted as a new property.
A member of our Customer Support team will need to look into this for you as this cannot be carried out through the agency software.
If the property was withdrawn because it was marketed at an incorrect price and is subsequently relisted with an amended price, the listing will display a Price Reduced flag. In these circumstances, the Price Reduced flag must be removed and replaced with a new Added on date.
Requests to relist a property advertised in error, remove a Price Reduced flag, or apply a new Added on date must be submitted to Customer Support via CustomerSupport@Rightmove.co.uk
